Tammi is an Indigenous teacher born and raised on Kalkadoon country in Mount Isa north western Queensland. Tammi is a passionate advocate for Indigenous Education. With over 15yrs teaching experience both in Australia & internationally, she is currently studying her Masters in Indigenous Education. This postgraduate studies has provided opportunities to initiate and develop various authentic community, and school programs to improve outcomes for Indigenous students in Mount Isa. By engaging and empowering Indigenous students, parents, and her community, Tammi hopes to facilitate real change for her people.
